London's Millenium Bridge, a footbridge across the Thames, which crosses from St. Paul's on the north side of the river to The Tate Modern art gallery on the South Bank. The Millenium Bridge is famous for the way it wobbled when it was first opened. A view of the underneath of the bridge shows the main  modifications that were added to solve the problem. Click on the thumbnail to open a page giving more information.
In this view looking south downstream from the south bank of the Thames you can see Tower Bridge in the distance. The bridge is a popular tourist attraction and there are often hundreds of people walking across it at any time.

To the right of the picture you can see the Tate Modern, which occupies a building that was once a power station and to the left is the Globe Theatre.
