The level flood plain of a small river lies between high valley sides. (Pennard Pill, Gower)	In limestone and chalk areas many rivers run dry in summer. This is the dry bed of Bishopston Stream, Gower	The Severn Bore is a tidal wave that runs up the River Severn. It is caused when the rising spring tide in the Bristol Channel at the mouth of the river meets the water flowing downstream. Same picture - 2 versions. The larger file is bigger and much sharper.
