VAK Questions
Updated Feb 2005 |
Thanks to Neil Whitmill for this
spreadsheet to help analyse children's learning styles. Neil
writes: Well, we are working on identifying learning preferences
of primary children and are trying to identify visual, auditory
and kinaesthetic learners. We found the questions on the sheet
somewhere and have adapted them for our own use. The Excel
spreadsheet highlights the results and gives a visual feedback to
the teacher of the preferences of each child. Where one learning
style is very weak, support may be needed to make the learner able
to access more of the curriculum opportunities. This is not a
perfect science, but is an interesting indicator.

chronage2003 |
Now! The
ultimate tool for calculating children's ages to the nearest
completed month. This one combines the best features of the older
versions. It's an MS Excel workbook with 2 sheets. The first simply
calculates ages, the other works out the differences between ages
and test scores. |
|
|
xls |
chronagecalc |
Another Excel
spreadsheet that calculates your class's ages on a given date from their dates of birth.
This newer version, by David Brown, is easy to use - you can even set it to update itself
to the current date. Very useful! |
|
|
xls |
chron age comp |
Neil Whitmill has
taken David Brown's version of the chronological age calculator and added to it. To quote
Neil : I have used the chrono age calculator a
great deal - really good! Now I've adapted it so that it can store test results and
compare standardised ages giving a variant against the actual age of the student/pupil.
Many thanks to your original supplier. |
